Dr. Muhammad Saleem Khan is currently Assistant Professor of Zoology and Head of Department Under-graduate Studies, department of Zoology. Dr. Khan completed his Ph.D in Zoology from Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He gained professional education “Master of Science Education” from Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Khan is the member of “National Academy of Young Scientists Pakistan”. He remained part of University of Okara as visiting faculty Since September 2015. Dr. Khan completed three internships from Nuclear Institute of Agriculture and Biology (NIAB), Ayub Agriculture Institute of Agriculture, Faisalabad on Bioassays in Agriculture and control of agriculture pests. He was also the part of HEC project on “Sustainable Bio-control of Helicoverpa armigera (Hub) through Araneid fauna in the Central Punjab” from 2009-2011. He worked as research associate and produced 7 research articles from this project. Regarding teaching carrier, Dr. Khan remained as Master trainer of Science and Biology for Elementary and Secondary School teachers from 2012 to 2019. He was declared “Best Master Trainer” in Primary School Teachers Diagnostic Training organized by District Training and Support Centre, Okara from 2-June to 28 June 2014. He has published 39 research and review articles in well repute journals, 3 book chapters and 7 conference papers. He is also author of a book “Environmental Pollution, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Development: Issues and Remediation”. He is also working as reviewer in many high impact factor journals. Currently, he is reviewing the article for Ecological Indicators and Applied Biological Chemistry. His area of reach is Epidemiology, Fishery, biodiversity and pollution, Toxicology), Synthesis of Nanomaterial, Ecology and Physiology. Currently, Dr. Khan with his reach group is working on different community diseases, their prevalence, risk factors, knowledge, attitude and practices of population towards specific disease. He is also interested to monitor environmental health through different environmental indicators like birds (terrestrial) and fish (Aquatic habitat). M.Phil and Ph.D students are engage in both fields and working under the supervision of Dr. Khan.
